As Mowglis Camp Director Nick Robbins often expresses, “A summer camp is only as good as it’s staff.”
Every summer, parents from across the world send their children to live the rustic Mowglis lifestyle in the fresh pines of northern New Hampshire. The moment their son is dropped off on Mowglis opening day, they are placing their parental trust in the hands of the carefully selected Mowglis staff.
As camper arrival day inches closer and closer, the counselors at Camp Mowglis are in full swing preparing to give the boys of Summer 2015 an unforgettable summer. The phrase, “In Loco Parentis” or “in place of parents” has become a mantra for the Mowglis staff this year, with each training more fully preparing the staff members to take on the exciting and honorable responsibility of being the best camp counselor they can be.

While the campers sit impatiently awaiting the summer to commence, the staff is busy preparing to teaching industries, getting certified in Lifeguarding and Wilderness First Aid, engaging in orientation trainings, learning the ins and outs of what it takes to be a camp counselor, and coming together as a strong cohesive team. Oh, and not to mention having an absolute blast and embracing the opportunity to channel their inner “big kid”.

The Mowglis Staff of Summer 2015 will proudly represent 7 different countries and 13 different states. With an astounding 70% Senior Staff return rate and more than 20 counselors beyond their 5th year as a member of the Mowglis community, the staff this summer is stacked with experience, energy, and the “Mowglis spirit”.
