I have had a long and enriching relationship with Mowglis, starting in the summer of 2002 when I was nine years old. It was my first time away from home for longer than a few nights at a time, and certainly the first time I had been in an environment such as this. The initial experience was more than enough to cause me to keep coming back for the last 12 years, first as an older camper, then as a junior staff member, and now on into more senior counselor and coaching positions. Easily the most consistently formative experience of my life, being at Mowglis has taught me to grow both as a strong individual, while also allowing me to gain respect for the people around me, and friendships I developed there remain as strong as they were back when I was a camper. With a strong background in experiential education and a well established integration with the natural world, the camp continues to teach boys of all ages to disconnect from our technology-driven society, take a step back, and absorb all of the wonderful things one might find on a beautiful summer day in the mountains, or by the side of the lake. Numerous activities, or industries, based on both individual and group-based growth equip the campers with skills they will take with them years and years after they graduate. Whether or not they choose to join the staff, or even remain in close contact with the camp, individuals that have been touched by Camp Mowglis carry their experiences forward to become well versed, capable people. I know I would be nothing like I am now if not for the lessons learned and relationships sown as a result of growing in a wonderful place like this, and can safely say I regard Mowglis as a second home. We could all use a bit more time outside, and I can't think of a better place to do it.

I went to Mowglis in the 80's and 90's, and I often think about those summers with fondness. The memories, experiences, and relationships helped me become the person I am today. If you can, I highly recommend you send your son; you won't regret it.

I went to camp for four summers and my time there has no doubt been some of the best of my life. Camp has fostered a love for camping, hiking and the white mountains, with hiking trips at least once a week. At camp there is a wide variety of industries (activities) for campers to chose from with some entirely unique like axemanship. Mowglis keeps campers coming back summer after summer, even into their years as a staff member. This helps develop some of the incredible friendships that I've acquired during my time at Mowglis. It also creates a staff of former campers that are well versed in camp traditions and know how to make the camper's summer the best possible. Mowglis is an unplugged experience, and there's no better place to be unplugged than among New Hampshire's White Mountains and beutiful newfound lake. Camp Mowglis is truly an incredible experience, and I would certainly not be the person I am today without it.

I can't imagine what life would be like without my mowglis experience. I spent seven wonderful summers there as a camper. The friends, adventures, crew, mountain climbing through the White Mountains, and of course we swam in the greatest lake ever. Wish I was there right now!

Our family was introduced to Mowglis in 2002. Our oldest son had spent 3 weeks the previous summer at a large boys camp on Lake Champlain. While this was/is a wonderful camp, with a long and storied history, we found it was just too big for our son. However, being believers in the camp experience we investigated several other traditional boys camps in Maine before deciding on Mowglis. What appealed to us about Mowglis was the small and nurturing environment, the emphasis on traditional camp activities, the crew program and the seven week length of stay. We also appreciated that the boys and staff came from all over the country and the community included international boys (as opposed to drawing a lot of boys from the same town). My husband and his brothers had all attended an 8 week camp, and he felt strongly this was an important part of the personal growth that happens over the course of several summers. We are now the parents of 3 Mowglis graduates and all our boys have also been on the staff. I know they had opportunities that would not have been available to them at a larger camp; but, more importantly, I know they learned lessons about values and character that will last a lifetime.

The perfect boys camp to really live with nature, no electronics!!! I love it and my boys too!
